The remaining 18,600 compas- ters will be sold ta Pickering residenits for $25 each. The Region plans ta monitoir of the composters 50 they are not pur- chased in bulk and resold for profit. Donnelly says that a four- month study iast year of -60 househalds in Newcastle showed very positive results. "People were able ta divert a full third of their household waste from Iandfill.
