He married Stefya Hoogendorp- Bongers on March 24, 1966, in Zeist Holand. A *hitby resident for 23 years, Mr. Hoogendorp was a main- tenance xnecbanic at Whitby General Hospital before lie retired. lie was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Whitb. ie is survived by is wife sister Boukje, tepson Mark (and his wife Helma), grandebildren Eva and Carolina. The funeral service was held from the Town Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 13, 1990, conducted by 11ev. Victor Li and 11ev. Keith Jones. Interment at St. John's cemetery, Whitby. A Whitby resident for 35 years, Mr. Sackett was a department mana- ger at the former Dunlop Rubber and Tire Co. before he retired. lie is survived by bis wife, daugliters Lois Fillmore of South Africa, Cheryl Antunes of Florida, four grandcbildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters, step- son Bill McBride of Orono and ste pdaughter Tracey of Belle- vil le. lie was predeceased by wife Irlis (Bette), son Jackie, two brothers and one sister. Before that he worked for the City of Oshawa. «Vie is very capable» said li-er- rema. "lie has a detailed grasp of ail the region." Segailis says he bas had a good apprentioesbip and bas learned from nustakes He assured, council. they will be proud of the work done by the works department. In 1974 Segailis w as director of operations. In 1977 he moved to another. major branch as direc- tor of engineeng and was res- ponsible for alithe engineering and technical staff. Fromn 1966 to 1974, Segailis was director of operations for the City of Osh- awa.
