VWtby came out fiying in the first period and neyer looked back, defeating Markhan 9- 1. Whitby controlled ail aspects of the game, Markhain was neyer given 'a chance to get anything going. Scoing was led by Bobby McBride. with three goals, Robert Lalonde with two goals and one assist, Michael Konieczney one goal and two assista, Blaine Down two goals, Jay Harrison one goal and. one 'assist, Jeremy Fisher three assists, two assists each for Kyle Wailes, Ian Haywood -and Sean McCury, and one assist each to Brad Slater, Sean Walsh, Luc Archanbault, David Morasse and Michael Morrison. The momnentum from the Markham gaine carried over to Whitby's match against Richmond Hill. The club has a membership of approimately 75 swimmers, ranging in age from 6 to 18, devoting xnany hours of training each week in the sport of competitive swimniing.
