S Ma-r Ellen Donnelly said council's decision not ,to meet with her will flot hinder plans to refurbish the derelict vessel. Donnelly intends to proceed with'an ambitious project aimed at transforminq the ferry into a* 'waterfront touriat attraction fea- turing a mu seum, restaurant, lounge and dance floor. Officially, 'the Bowmanville resident had no comment with respect to councî's- action. "But it dosen't matter anyway, we're n!ot gin to bother with them,» said Donnelly. .A letter from Donnelly requesting a meeting* to outline herplans was quickly deaIt with by council last week. Council approved a report from Town administrator Bil Wallace that it not'hear Doninelly's pro- Wallaoes report- was not pro- vided to-the press, but a council- lor said one of the topics it discussed was Donnelly's finan- ciai backing.
