Meant as, a joke, tey javýe her a children's woobr kit, and around her home Brachvogel found acrapa of wood. Then her love began. Coupled with friends who were interested in furniture and toy- making, shestarted'to'becomïe more involved in this new art form. Eventually her friends opened a furniture sliop and Brachvogei evolved on her own te what she is today. A very family-oriented, and nature-wise lifestyle influences her work. But sometimes grains in the wood take over and put ideas into her head. For example, one piece of wood had gan that seemned te ripple like water. That piece transfor- med into a boon drawing. Brachvogel has been ir many - shows acroas the province sud has done demonstrations at vari- ous wood and art shows. Brachvogel's art is at the Whitby Public i brary for the month of February.
