A son, of the lato Jseph Threadgold 'and Sarah Jane Osborn- ho was born at Waltham Cross Hertfobrdshire, England, on Feb. 21, 1888, and came to Whitby in 1913. .Mr. Threadgold was firet employedi the construction of the W-hyPsychiatric Hospital and during the first World War ho workod at Parry Sound. After the war ho formed the partnership of Threadgold Brothers, General Contractors, wIthbis brother Frank, and built many homes in Whitby. The last large building ho constructod was the W.C.; Town Funera Chapel in 1953-54. Aftor the death of bis brother in 1955, Mir. Threadgold became a supervisor for the Whitby Board of Education. Ho supervised the construction of the E.A Fairman publiceichool in 1949-50., and retired at the age of 72 in 1960.
