Printmaker's exhibit at gallery An exhibition of original prints by Canadian printmaker Otis Tamaqauskas willopen at the Robert' McLaughlinery on March 5. In 1990, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery received a gift 0f 18 works, including original metal plates and woodblocks used by the artist that will be displayed with the prints. Tamasauskaa works from an intuitive level -- he is.inspired by the physical properties of the materiala that he workewith and roacts spontaneously with thom at the printing press. Born in Germany, the artist received bis bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Windsor. He now teaches at Queen's University. A juried exhibition, theboard of trusteos of the gallery invite residents of Durham Region to create works in and media for entry.
