Last week, one cf IDOCIs moot p=sinately revered OAC studntsMke Burgess, delivered an enthralling senunar in his history class about Mikail- Gorbachev's Ieadeirship of the cemmunist party in the now defunct U.S.S.R. Most memorable was Mike's guest speaker, Mrs. R. Gorbachev, former irst lady, who gave a tearful dissertation on her three days of terror during the attempted coup. The entire class was riveted by the lecture, save Christian Rock, who seemed cooly disinterested when he asked, 'Wait a minute, who are you again?" Otherwise, the presentation was a grand success. Also occurring asat week te, the delight cf thousands cf Do'Csters was our annual S p ring and Prom Fashion Show. Yeurs truly auditioned for a modelling position, but for some reason, organizer V. Breinner seemed most adamant that I net appear on stage. She assured me tt I would beocf more use backstage, where nobody could see me. I tried te argue, but ended up confined te the dressing room, the adjoining refreshment stand being my sole consolation. The audience responded meet favourably te the gala, and reacted with near hysterics when John Ritter took the stage, looking smashing ini threads from Tuxedo Royale, and sang an accapella version of the Three's Company theme song. Apparently, however, it was al an uncannv misunderstandinoz and ?r. Bitter looked most embarrassed at the situation. Ail the models cf the evening looked fabulous, and rousing applause te the coordinators and sponsors for making theshow as grand as it was. That'sail for now. Until next time ..
