October 21' 1992' Page 9 Murder mystery -evening isUnited- ,,Way :fundraiser 'A Murder Mystery Evening, much like those held'at the Royal' York in Toronto, will take place at the Flying Dutchman Hotel in Bowmnv eon Frday, Oct. 23 ta raise funds for the United Way of Oishawa-Whitby-Newcastle. The evening includes a full course dinner and an 'audience- participation play! At .7 p.m., cocktails will be served and the play will begin; dinner and dessert will follow, ending at approimately il p.m. Julie DeSilva, a Canadian author wha wrate the play, will direct and ca-ardinate the'event. Over the course of dinner, professianal actors wili niingle with the dinner crowd, who will attempt ta salve the inurder niystery by. questioning these actors, analyzing élues and cross-exainining the_ suspects. Some members of th audience magy be pre-chosen ta play certain parts in the play. Tickets for the event cost $50, hall of which will go ta the United Way, and a charitable tax receipt will be issued. The balance will be used ta caver the cost of production and the ineal. One hundred and -fifty tickets are available and can be purchased at the Flying Dutchinan Hotel, 143 Duke St., Bowmanville or at the United Way office,, 52 Simcae St. S., Oshawa.
