Whitby began the tournament on c high note by defeeting a tram from Hamilton by c 5-3 score. Tournament hasts Woolwicb then defceted Whitby 5-3. Whitby placed second in the final standings, and faccd undefêated Woolwich in the championship game. with no scaring and few play stoppages in the first 10 minutes. In the flrst game, Whitby beat the îisiting Bowmenville tecm by a 4-2 score. Michael Kosiw led the way with threc goals, the third anc inta an empty net. Rya Peymnan rounded out the scoring, with essists going ta, Wade Branch, Rya Tutck ced Biliy Deir. The game aiso, featured Kosiw scoring his 5th goal of the seson. Thomas MVP at 3-on-3 Shaun Thomas ýof Pickering was most valuable player et the 3-on-3 basketbali tournament held et Anderson CVI on Mcrch 6. Whitby lead 2-1 going into the third period but ran up against a bot goaltender who kept the Port Credit teamn in the game. Kevin Walsh and Deir led the way, each with a goal and an assist. Tutak finished up the scoring for Whitby, with helpers going to Jefi'rey Seedhouse and Kosiw. Whitby travelled ta HI-illsburg over the weekend for a geme against Haltan Hilis and skated ta a convincing 5-1 win. The long drive hed little effect on the teamn as they outshot the opposition by a 37-15 margin. Goalscorers for Whitby were Deir, Branch, Kosiw, Walsh and Andrew Pigram. Contributing with assists were Deir, Branch, Jamie Millage, Rannie Robertson and Tutck (two). Gocltending duties for all three games were shared by Kyle Nova and Chris Nemisz, who both came up big when needed. Whitby also tightened up an their defensive play with the defence of Robertson, Millage, Ranger, Pigramn, Seedhouse and Fox leading the way.
