The H-enry student enlisted the help ai two teachers, Sharon Worsely and Liz Faiazza and the group meets every Tuesday. On Feb. 5, during lunch at the school, staff members -- inciuding the vice-principal - ran an obstacle course .n teams. Students paid 25 cents each ta watch the event. In aIl, Henry SMID raised $59.25 from the event and the money will go towi-rds prizes for other events such as raflies. SAJD is now developing an idea with the theme 'Don't Drink and Drive.' Edelson and his staff want ta raffle off a limousine rude ta the- school prom with al praceeds going tawards Henry SAID. "If we can raise money for a lima -- that would be great," satys Faîazza. Things haven't turned out that way. Alejandra doesn't snore (allen), nor does she keep the ight on al night. She doesn't hoid get-tagethers in aur room in the wee hours ai the marning. Alex is actually a great roommate. The anly fault I can find with her is her habit ai iying. Can you believe she tells aur friends I talk in rny sleep? Ridiculous! On the other hand, how does she know about Eduard? Alex is from Mexica, so she spends a great deal ai time huddled under biankets and sleeping bags as she acclimatizes ta the Canadian weather. At this moment she's in Hawaii on a schoal trip (I hope she remembers what size I want for my grass skirt). In a few days, she'Il head for Hang Kong, along with other Celebration Si ngers, the Trafalgar Castle tauring choir. While she's soaking up the sun and culture an her 'Experience Week' trip, 111 be touring jails and courtroomns on the trip 'You and the Law.' I ish ail students a safe and fun March break. Trafalgar, nIl see you next term. There are anly two more days until March break! Students and teachers are looking forward toaa luxuriaus week ai rest and relaxation (or actian-packed fun -- whatever the case may be). Even though the long-awaited vacation is almast here, my fellow Austinites have been busy as usual. Father Loza, showing his bravery ance again, accompanied about 10 students ta a social justice workshop on Thursday. At the workshop, students discussed the aftermath ai Columbus' discovery ai the Ameicas. Students said that the workshop was a real eye-opener, and that they had a great time. The students would like ta thank Father Loza for taking time from his busy sehedule ta accompany them. In sports news, the Wildcat midget boys> basketball teamn brought home one ai Austin's first LOSSA championships. The boys showed excellent sportsmanship and awesome teamwork. Congratulations, guys. In addition ta, having winning teams already representing Austin, we have many more pramising teams starting ta take shape. Tryouts are already underway for girls' saccer, softbali and, for the first time ever, a girls' lacrosse team. For the guys, there's rugby and lacrosse. Finally, there's everybady's favouite -- a co-ed team -- yep, you guessed it, track and field. Now for some guidance news. Even throughi this event will not actuaily accur for a couple ai months, aur wonderful guidance counsellors would like you ta keep your calendars open.
