Just after 10 p.m., suspects entered the General Vanier Secondary School at 155 Gibb St. Entry was gained by forcing a window in the greenhouse and then prying open three doors in the school Lefore entering reem 28. Stolen from the classroom was a large quaritity of commercial-brand video and recording equi pment, including two Sony cameras in large, grey, lastc roadcases (36-ns. by 24-ns. by 18-mns.); one Sony gh-8 video recorder; one Sony wipe-pattern generator; one Sony eight-channel sound mixer board; one Sony pwer audio amplifier; one Sony compact disc player; one So0ny double-cassette player/recorder; one PVM 8020 eight-inch monitor; one Panasonic and one Hitachi camrecorder. Investigators feel that several suspects are involved in this theft and that a vehicle would have been needed to move the equipment because of the quantity and weight. Durham Region schools have been victimized on several occasions and Crime Stoppers is asking anyone %vith information on this or any other serious offence te caîl.
