Since Dutrisac has advised planning staff that the property will be developed by others, a master agreement, which would Include the concept plan and other Issues of concern to the department, will be registered on the property's title for the purpose of Identifying these concerns to future developers/owners. Reconended to council That a site plan application lrom Durham Region for Installation of a second underground water reservoir and pumping station on the south side of Conlin Road, west of Garrard Road, be approved. The property Is now the site of the Region's recycling building and works yard. The second reservoir is required to provide a balance to the zone/water service area which includes south Whitby/Oshawa and to provide water supply for northemn areas including total cost of the project, including engineering and resident supervision and a $26,000 contingency allowance, is $243.000. GO Transit Authority's board of directors bas postpened a planned reduction in rail service scheduled te take effect July 3. The board aise agreed te delay a two per cent fare hike which wiil raise an additionai $2 mil- lion in revenue for GO's celters. Both nieasures were p ut on hold last Friday until GO chair Lou Parsons can meet with Ontario government officiais te discuss t he province's plans te trimi its annuai subsidy te GO Transit by $6.5 million. Parsons was directed by the board te arrange a meeting with Premier Bob 'Rae, Treasurer Floyd Laughren and Transpor- tation Minister Gilles Pouliot. The board, which includes Durham Region chair Gary Her- rema, is comprised of the heads of the five regienal municipali- ties served by GO Transit, plus Metro Toronto boss Alan Tanks.
