Under-17s win tournament Whitby won the under-17 divi- sion of the Whitby Iroquois Select Soccer Tourriament recently Whitby defeated Brantford White Eagles 4-2 in extra time in the final. Eght soccer teams competed in 10 boys and girls divisions. Teams were from ail over Ontario and one team was from Bedford, Texas. "It was a great weekend of soccer," says tournament officiai Alan Kerr. "The standard was high in al a&e groups and the spirit in which the games were played was generaily very sporting."
