Police say the littie girl was seen running down Mary Street without shoes on and ended up in the CoffTee Tme donut shop around 3:20 a.m. The mother had earlier left the youngster with a babysitter whom she apparently hardly knew, saying she'd be back soon. The babysitter got tired of waiting for ber and went home afterth e child fell asleep, say police. She later awoke, and started wandering the streets after dis- covering ne one was home. Police took the child to a friend of the mother for the night and notified the Children s Aid Society. The girl is now back with her mother.
