OBITUARIES VERNA MAE SANDFORD An employee of the Town of Whitby for 27 years and a life-long resident of Whitby, Verna Mae Sandford died at the Whitby Generai Hospital on Aug. 12, 1993. She lived at 101 Kathleen St., Whitby. A daughter of the late George Willis Huntley and Florence May Stacey, sbe was hemn at Raglan en Nov. 29, 1913. Mrs. Sandford was chief hookkeeper in the treasury departisent of the Town of Whidthy from 1951 te 1978, and formerly worked at the Witby post office. She is survived by one son, John (and bis wife Karen), and two grandchildrert, Mark and Matthew. Mrs. Sandferd is alse survived by brother Eari, sisters Giadys, Jean and Joan, and daughter-in-law Jinny Sasdford (Camipbell). Her busbar.d, Peter Sandford, and one son, Richard, <ied before ber.
