The group of 9- to 14-year-olds protested in front of the used bookstore to be called Books, Flower 1 Things, on Friday afternoon when, they say, the ewner didn't pay the w&iges he promised for work done Th urs- day night to open the store. Trhey said they were told by store owner Tony Scavetta they would receive $6 an hour, and the nine youngsters each worked anywhere from three to eight heurs. But one youngster recei- ved only $2 for eight heurs, another get $5, another $10, while most got $20 -- well short of what they said they were promised.
