Police say the 27-year-old Osh- awa man was using a forklift at the rear of the building. He stopped behind a truck te raise the cargo door when the forklift rolled forward and pinned his right leg. H e managed te free himself and hobble inte the plant to get help, say police. He was taken te WIhitby General Hospital with a gash te, his right ankle and a sore caîf muscle. Police say the Ministry of Labour was notified and wil investigate the incident. Remam removed f rom cemeteà --ry Vandals removed cremated human remains fromn a monu- ment at Mount Lawn Cemetery over the weekend. Police say the culprit(s) pried open a section of stene from the St. Anthony and child' monu- ment and took the remains of a 65yer-ldOshawa woman who died in April. Police are with- holding hier namne until they can notify relatives. Although other remains were entombed in the monument, they were not disturbed. An oficer was dispatched te the store around 5 a.m. to inves- tigate a burglar alarm. H1e walked around the north corner of the building just as a male suspect carrying the equipment walked out aside door. The officer chased the suspect but lost him in the area behind the store. Hockey pants, skatés, a helmet and a stick were reco- vered at the soene. Nothing else appeared te be missing. a report about an incident in- volving firearins. A man was working in his garage on Melissa Crescent just, after noon when he thought he heard gnshots, says Inspecter Jim Fishley.
