Page il By Tony Prevedel Once again the halls of vacant building 25 at the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital resounded with the sounda of carpenters, lighting experts, film crews, actori and extras as OPEONGO Films hIc. selected this building as the main setting for a Canadian production of 'Eyes that went away.' The feature filmis a story of the relationship between an autistic child and his "simple" uncle,, taking place during the Great Depression, 1933. The Canadian production stars Gary Farmner as the uncle, Keeghan McIntoeh as the child, and other actors include Eric Petersen, Margot Kidder, David Kronenberg and Robert Joy. Building 25 was chosen to depict a typical institutional building from which the uncle attempted to, escape.
