I see we also have a few parents with us as well. Welcome, Muins and Dads. What's that? When do we go? Soon. Soon. First we do our Bell Work. And then we get properly organ- ized. When the bus gets here. Right. So first thing, boys and girls, for Bell Work I want you te list five questions you can ask when we get to The Nightmare Before Halloween. Start. Now. Boys and girls, Mums and Dads, Bobby wants te know if we will see live dinosaurs. Maybe you could look for that. Next? Bruce. You want te, know if you can go te the Gift Shop yet. Sorry, no, you'll have te wait until we get there. Another? Sally. Sally wants te know how the dinosaurs we are going to see got te be extinct. One display is set up as a voting booth where you will get te try a vote of your own and create a dinosaur. You might find that fun. The bus is here? Thank goodness. But first, let's al try a washroom break. The bus trip is one hour, non-stop. Mums and Dads understand anyway. Okay, right. Here we are. This looks like the Oshawa Civic Dome in the middle of a parking lot. First we are going te line up. That's for practice, because that is what we are going te do a lot teday: line up. First exhibit we see here is White Beauty. Now called Reformosaurus (IRe-form-oh-sore-us) Tex, this was discovered in Alberta, B.C.* a decade ago, by Canada's version of Indiana Jones,, Preste Man. This is a fierce meat-eating creature which will devour al other politicians. The skeleten is made from fossils. Next, now hiding in the Gobi Just Desserts, we find Torysaurus Kim, another fierce predator which ruled the land only for a short while before extinction. Many will recognize the close relationship te the Torysaurus Rex, ftom which it descended. Rex, you may recaîl, ruled for two full terins, or about eight years, and was known chiefly for razor- like teeth for devouring the little guy and razor-like hands for vicious tax claw-backs. Rex was also known for Irish Blarney and American Butt-Kissing. What's that, Bruce? You want te visit the Gift Shop? On the way out. First we have te stop for lunch. First, a word te parents. Those among you who have neyer been on class tours before may be wondering where ail these other kids camne from. Well, they came on school buses, just as we did.
