After a relaxing and onjoyable long weekend, Anderson students and teachors arenow preparing for June exarnînations. The school year is almost over. Congratulations to Anderson's junior girls soccor team who finished their season on Wednesday. The team ot a very well played garne to Bowmanville in overtime. A fantastic game was played by ail athietes. On Thursday, they beat McKenzie Collegiato from North York 7-3. This ran their record to 4-0. Wel done, boys. Seven Anderson athietes qualified for the OFSAA regional competition on Wednesday. Adrian Woodley finished first in both the 100- metres race and the 110 metre hurdies. Pennie Santiago won the gold medal in the senior girls' Javelin. Tara Worden won the gold modal in the junior girls' discus, setting a new schcol record. Roxanne Woodiey won the gold medal in the junior gis' 80- inetre hurdles and the silver modal in the 100-metre race. Tony Branch won the silver inedal in the junior boys' 110 metre hurdies. A bronze inedal went to, David Iuliana who established a ehool record in the niidget boys" sho t. Stehane Dffyalso qulified for regionals with a fourth-place finish in the senior girls' 1,600 metres. Schcol records were also achieved by Chung Lee in the midget boys' long jumnp and Luke Bainard in the midget boys' javelin. Congratulations.
