Whitby, sponsored by Telcp Systems and Bay Sports, began thé tournamont with a 14-4 win over Fort Erie. Jason Jankowski hiadt thre goals and two assista, Rohant Mehta' had three goals and an assist. Midiand thon upset Whitby 7-6 with a rai with two seconds ieft. Rob Fodor had threo goals,' Mebta and Jankowski each a goal and two assista.
