In Stouffville on July 12 the teani scored 19 runs to dominate the game offensively. The game saw multiple bits by Tracy Miler, Stacie Beetbam and Rhian Moore as well as singles by Leslie West, Liàndsay Knocker, Shannon Harrod, Courtney Mitchell and Susie Waldron. Solid defensive play by Jillian Finley, Corrne McFarlane and Amy McAdam limiited the Stouffville team to only six runs on five bits. WMhy lost 8-6 to, archrival Peterborough in a hard-fougbt gaine. Wihitby bad a 3-1 lead but Peterborough came back ta tie it at the end of the second period. Penalties cost Wihitby the gaine. Whitby opened the taurnament by downing Orangeville 6-4 in a gaine in which Orangeville came out strong witb a 4-2 lead until Wbhitby came back witb four unanswered goals. The second game saw Whitby's offence far superior ta that of an unexperienced Beaches teamn, beating tbem 10-O. Dusty Sargent got the shutout in tbe net. The final gaine of the round-robin pitted Whitby against a strong London teain. Whidtby trailed 3-2 going into tbe third, but felI apart in tbe tbird, losing 9-2.
