In divisional play, Whitby Raiders went undefeated in three gaines, scoring 12 goals and allowing only one. The strong defensive core of James West-Bentley, Stan Dymeeki, Stéfan Nicota, David Flion and Bryant Harte helped goaltender Brandon Cedar record two shutouts. Whitby began the tournamont with a win over Peterborough. Despite numerous scoring opportunities, Whitby had a hard tirno getting on the scoreboard until near the end of the flrst haif, when Mark Engolage made an excellent cross to Danny Mattin, whose shot off the goal post robounded in off an opposing player. Cedar kept bis teani' in the gamne while waiting for bis forwards te flnd the net. In the second haf Mattin connected on pass from Fillion and Craig Woods notched another for a final 3-0 victory. Whitby's offence was in full force against Chinguacousy with five inarksnien rocording savon goals in a 7-1 win. Scoring for Whitby were Matt Brady, Woods, Mattin, Engelage (two) and Tope Akinbiyi (two). Midfielders Mark Cassidy and Brian Rainey provided solid support; for the forwards.
