But Whitby fought back to level the score, on a goal by Meghan Reid, just before half-time. In the second half Whitby continued te, press forward and were rewarded with two goals, both by Kzystal Nzeakor. Whitby then deféated Newmarket 10-0 on goals from Candace Nzeakor (three), Nzeakor* (three), Sonya Mangan, Helen James, Mfichelle Allen and Sophie Linklater. Whitby continued its strong challenge for a trophy in a ganie against Ajax Warriors. After an exciting -first haif, with opportiities at both ends of the field, the game was scoreless. Mississauga got off te a quick 2-0 lead and led 4-2 after two perioda. Whitby B fought back in the third period te narrow the margin te, 6-5, with three minutes te play. As Whitby B pressed te tie the score, Mississauga scored two goals in the last mninute te ensure the victory. Scoring for Whitby were Mike Crystal with two goals, Derek McTeague with two goals, Nicholas MacKinnon with three assista, Ian Brook with two assista, Eric Colline with a goal, Aaron Maguire, Chris Noble and Erik Petersn, each with an assist. However, after the break, two goals from Reid gave Whitby a place in the semi-finals. Jennifer Marteli earned the shutout while solid defensive play by Karen Farquharson, Dana Edick, ngie Smith and Andrea Bungay kept Ajax's spirited attackers at bay. The semi-final game against West Rouge was a rematch of the Robbie Tournament which Whitby won in July. However, West Rouge scored once in the firat hall', and despite Registration for the Whitby Iroquois Swim Club will be held on Friday, Sept. 9, 6 to 9 pan., and Saturday, Sept. 10, 9 a.m. to noon. The club, with 65 swimmers currently in training, has com- bined fun and challenge since it began more than 20 years ago.
