In a scrambly- opeining period, Matt Annis scored on the rebound of a shot by defenseman Jeremi Brimble. Speedy 'centre Kevin Walsh threaded the needie te send Brandon Fowler into the clear. Fowler made a nifty move,,makng it 2-0 for the homeside. Centre Jason Connor drove to the net and passed te winger Andrew Lamiot who snapped the puck past a sprawied Knights goâlie giving Wil dcats a 3-0 margin. Later in the period Lamiot scored again. Before the end of the second period Ajax scored twe goals, making it 4-2. Strong goaltending by Chris Nemisz and Ian Upton together with intense checking by centre Adam Thibodeau and wingers Jeif Hass and Janue Millage preserved the lead. In the final frame Justin Hawe scgred a picture goal on another fin~e pass from Walsh. In the closing momnents of the game the trie of Fowler, Walsh and Hawe deftly moved the puck te send Hawe on a breakaway. Hawe made ne mistake, blasting the puck inte the tep corner. Walsh ended the scoring. Whitby outshot Ajax 45-16. Codlin'lst in dressage' Daina Codlin of the Durham Pony Club was first in her divi- sn at the Central Ontario pony club dressage championships held recently in Ajax. Codlin won the kur division. She was second in both basic 3 and 4 divisions.
