Although some of- Emm's Iawn signs ask voters to elect him to Durham Region council, others, such as the one shown above, cait on Whitby residents to "re-elect" him. However, Emm has not been a member of council since 1988 when he made an unsuccessful mun for mayor. Emm was not available for comment on the diff erent wiording. The clinic, established in 1980, provides dinical assessments, recommendations .regardi ng =prpit interventions and om niyresources, and clinical treatmnent services for children and faxilies before the courts. Pivko is currently executive director of the Metro Toronto Special Committee on Child Abuse which strives te eliminate child abuse and develop services for sexually abused children, their famnilles and-offenders. She began bier career as the social services coordinator of a minimum- security resource facility of the Mfinistry of Correctional Services. Pivko bas 10 years of direct child welfare experience and government experience as a program supervisor with the Mfinistry of Community and Social Services. She bas been instrumental in the development of several NDP riding to hold nomination meeting The Durham Centre NDP Riding Association will hold a nomination meeting Oct. 17 to select their candidate for' the upcoming provincial election. .
