After starting the season with three straight losses, Wildcats have a 5-1-1 record in their past seven gaines. Whitby defeated Aurora 4-1. David McIntrye scored thé first goal off a rebound of a Justin Fox shot. Off the faceof at centre, Ken Henry split the defence to put Whitby up by two. Henry would finish the night with a bat trick. Geof Niblett and Justin White combined in goal for the win. WJhitby thon went te Bowmanville -ad tied the firsi place Toros 4-4. Bowmanville opened the scoring in the flrst. Matt Goodwin tied it with bis flrst of the year. The home team would build a two-goal lead in the second. Wildcats would reply with three goals of their own by Mclntyre, Philip Mdflhone and Zack Greer. A penalty call at 2:43 of the third allowed Bowmanville te g on the powerplay and eventually tie it. Niblett and White again had a standout game in goal. Whitby loses 2nd straight In eastern AAA hockey action asat Wednesday, WVhitby's minor novices feIl to their counterparts from Oshawa 8-3 for their second consecutive loss. Wildcats were outmuscled and outgunned for the first two periods and entered the third down 7-0. Whitby came alive in the third, outscoring Oshawa 3-1, but it was toc> llttle toc> late. Steven Seedhouse drove te the net te put Whidtby on the board and Liam Reddox with a couple of top corner bullets found the mark for the Wihitby scores. The teain now holds'a league record of 9-3-1. The wins give the squad a 8-3-2 record at this point in the season. The contest on Nov. 9 had Justin Collins start the scoring on a heads-up relay from Capson and Ricica. Bryan Crouch added the final marker for Whitby on a quality play set up by Capson and Collins. Both the forward and defence combinations played well, enabling Lawson to gain another shutout. The Friday night gaine was moved up quite a few notches in intensity and it was the Richmond Hi-lI teain who started the scoring.
