The export salea represent an increase of almost 100 per cent over previous years' output to the Anierican, Swlss, Austrian, Mexican sud West Indies markets. In 1992, Sandoz Canada received a mandate fromn the Sandoz Croup te produce and diatribute TheraFlu, a cough and cold medication similar te Neo Citran, to the entiro U.S. market. The company invested $14.1 million in a now facility that made the Whltby plant the largeet and most advanced centre in North Amorica for pouch-filling and powderod medication delivery.
