In a tough 16-team division, Whitby firat defeated Camnbridge Hawks 2-0. Marc Gleeson got the shutout, Tyler Harrison and Wade Branch scored. The next game was a 4-3 win over Markham. With the score tied 3-3, Whitby's Ryan Tutak and Sean Pitcher combined to strip the puck away from a defender and fed it back to the point, where Sean Hill's shot was deflected into the net. 1Andrew Pigrarn, Michael Koeiw and Brandon MeBride had the other Whitby goals. Wildcats' third game was versus the tournainent hosts Brant Bandits. Wildcats played their gari from the outset and with bard skating and good passing led 3-1 alter the first period.Scoring for Whitby were MeBride and Harrison with two. The teains traded goals in both the second and third Periods, with Jamie Fox and Ronnie Robertson notching the niarkers for the Cats. The final was 5-3. With -three wins in ,round-robin, Whitby earned a berth in the serni-finals. Their opponent was the MTHL-leading Toronto Marlboroughs, who had won their three tournaunent gaines without surrendering a single goal. Wildcats opened the scoring less In eastern AAA 'action, the Whitby McDonald's nunor novice hockey teamn continued their winning ways with back-to-back victories over Barrie and Ajax-Plckering. At home against Barrie, Wildcats coasted te a 5-2 win. After playing te, a scorelesa first period, Barrie took the lead in the second but Steven Seedhouse scored for Whitby when he stole thie-puck off the Flyer defence and fired one homne.
