Operation committee members were told Monday night the levy, which took effect at the begin- ning of the year, was authorized b provincial legislation and the 'wn has no choice in the mat- ter. The levy adds $1,728 to the cost of each resîidential unit - -$1,389 for the public board and $339 for the separate board. The boards wiIl also take 1.33 per cent of the declared construc- tion value of non-residential buildings -- 1.07 per cent to the public board and 0.26 percent to the separate board.
