Taylor portrays the tbirty-something Jessie, wio lias reached a point of decision and desperation* in lier life. Her father is dead, ie is divorced, lier son is a minor ciinal, she suffers from epilepsy and cant hold on 6o a job. At a dead end point in lier life, slie haie decided t6 end it ail, and the play is about Jessies preparation 6o commit suicide and Jessie's mother's reaction. 'Theima (Jessies mother, piayed by Marion Coltman) is always trying 6o protect lier from harm and problenma, whieh probabiy puts more pressure on Jessie," says Taylor.
