Sales of 1,165 new homes and condominiums last month represent a 32 per cent gain over September's result of 1,718 sales and trounces 1995'9 October total by 64 per cent, according to a report prepared for the GTHBA by PMA Brethour Group. PMA Brethour vice president Kent Wengler notes that "with interest rates slated to'romain low, the positive trend ls likely to continue. The leap ln October sales is on top of some very healthy and consistent gains that have been made ail year long." Sales were split 73 per cent freehold, 27 per cent condornium.
