The sugar bush tours will leave from th'e parking lot at Purple Woods Conservation Area at 11:00 arn. and 1:00 p.m. Organized groups wishing to visit the demhonstration are asked to contact the office to rmake tour arrangements. Ail school days until April 3 have been booked by local schools for student tours. The Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority, in co-operation with the Durham A.M. Kiwanis Club, will be conducting a pancake weekend on March 29-30, 1980. Tours of the sugar bush will start every haîf hour from 9:30 a.m.. to 3:00 p.m. 'in addition to theý tours, visitors to the conservation area will have the oppor- tumity to purchase pancakes and fresh maple syrup. A horse-drawfl wagon ride for the children will be available at 50t per ride. Admission to the conser- vation area and the tours is free of charge. Purple Woods Conser- vation Area is located north of, Raglan on the Southeast corner of Simcoe Street Nor- th and the loth Concession. Her Honour, Pauline MGibbon, the Lieutenant- Governor of Ontario, an honourary member of the Volunteer Association, was the guest of honour. Scout 0 meetmng The 4th Whitby Group Committee are holding their annual general meeting on March 31, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark's United Church Hall. this meeting is to make the parents of the boys atten- ding Beavers, Cubs Scouts and Venturers aware of what the boys are doing and what the goup committee is doing for the boys. Ail parents of boys now at- tending as well as any other person who is interested in becoming involved with the scoutirig movement, are most welcome.
