Expressed as dollars, this means $1,546 for each elementary pupil (up from 1979's $1,409) and $2,154 for each secondary student (up from 1979's $1,983). The two spolesmen for the board also said that the budget is later tha4l it was last year because of the change in the poic's equalization factors for property tax. However, they did stress that "no board would receive less grant because of the new factors. " The province has added $35 million to its education fund for ail boards to soften the impact of the new fac- tors, they said. The Durham Board's share of the money has not been determined, they ad- ded. "lWe will be getting some guarantee," they said.
