BROOKLIN SPRING FAIR NEWS Membership carde are now available at Short's Pharmacy, the Emporium, Brooklin Pro Hardware or Gary Young Plum- bing. The membership which is $400 ($2.00 for students) entitles you to three admissions to the fair. These will not be available during the fair. Entry and prize books are now available for those interested ini exhibiting. These also give a complete list of events planned for the weekend. Remember the dates of the fair this year are Thursday, May 29; Friday, May 30; Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. WINTARIO/MISS BROOKLIN PAGEANT On Thursday, May 29, the Brooklin and District Kinette Club in cooperation with the Brooklin Spring Fair Board present the 146th Wintario draw live from the Brooklin Memorial Arena. Pnior to the draw Mayor Gartehore will officiate at the opening of the Spring Fair, Miss Brooklin Spring Fair and her two runnerc-up will be chosen (the preliminary judging for this pagent will be held Wednesday evening and le flot open to the public due to limited space), and we will be entertained by the County Town Singers. THis is an evening you won't want to miss, s0 purchase your tickets early. Advance tickets, which are $3.00 (including a Wintario ticket you wil be given at the door) are on sale now at SHort's Pharmacy, Brown's Foodniaster and the Emporiumi in Brooklin and at Shorty'c Cigar Store in Whitby. BROOKLIN SPRING FAIR DANCE Advance tickets are on sale for the Spring Fair Dance on Saturday, May 31 from 8:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. at the Brooklin Memonial Arena. Live music by "The Lidos" is presented courtesy of the Manchester Credit Union. There will be a bar and lunch will be cerved. TALENT CONTEST The Brooklin and District Kinsmen Club will hold its second annual Amateur Talent Contest on STaurday, May 31 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kinsmen Pavillion during the Brooklin Spring Fair. MEADOWCREST PUBLIC SCHOOL The musical production of "Tom Sawyer" will be presented by the students of Meadowcrest Public School in Brooklin on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the echool gymnasium (Please note change in dates). Rehearsals are going extnemely well and the cast and crew are working towards presenting a rnost enjoyablè performan- ce.
