r- r R EER E Si Whtby fhas aubus s&ysàtem At 6:30 Monday morning, the long awaited and hard fought for Whitby Transit Service got on the road. There to meet the bus, driven by Whit- by resident Gien Rickey, at the "Four Corners" in downtown Whitby were East Ward Councillor Joe Drumm and Regional Councillor Bob Atter- sley. The service will run from Monday to Friday on an hourly basis between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. with the exception of two half-hour peak period services f rom 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m; to 6 p.m. Operated by Charterways Ltd., the service will travel along four routes covering all the entire suburban area of the town south of Rossland Road. The buses will travel to the municipal buildings on Rossiand Road East, into Otter & Pringle Creeks as weil as providlng service to the Whit- by Psychiatric Hospital and the Woolco Mall.
