In a brief interview Tim- brell said that there is "a need for Ruddy to continue as a general public hospital. " However, this may not ex- clude the possibility of an altered role for the facility as Timbreil indicated that he is seeking a "co- ordinated system of healtli care" in Durhiam Region. As far as health care plan- ning is concerned, Timbreli, the MPP for Don Mils, said that Durham is in a unique position because tliey can decide "lhow to prepare for the future."
