WISC were the winners of the first Longueuil-Whitby trophy which was donated by the Longueuili Orca Swim Club. The Longueuil winners were Diane Baîkevicia, 10 and Paul Mountford, 12. Ail six swimnlers won every event they entered. Plans are underway to make the event an animal affair between the two clubs. According to WISC president, Charles McAlin- den, this was the first out of province meet for the young club, and it was both a tremendous success and ex- perience for the swimmers. To win an out of province trophy is a memory that thi- ey 'will long cherish, said McAlinden. He also stated that the Longueuil hosts went to great lengths to make this meet the success it was and WIRC meus them a vote of thanks for the unforgettable weekend they gave both swimmlers andi parents. The Whitby Iroquois Swim Club extenis its thanks to Whitby Town Council and Recreation Departmneft for making the meet possible. WISC will be accepting registration for new mem- bers for the 1980-81season in mic-Septeniber. Photo Club The Whitby Photography Club will hold its first meeting of the 1980-1 season on September 8 at 7 p.m. at the Whitby Public Library. All interested persons are welcome to attend.
