Notes
Leonard Carol Racher was born at Utopia in Simcoe County in 1909. He came to Whitby in 1937 to work as a building contractor. He was a great supporter of youth and sports and used his grading equipment to improve town parks.

He suffered a heart attack and died at Oshawa General Hospital at the age of 42 on 20 May 1951. He is buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
