Description
A black and white photograph of Arthur Thomas Lawler's grocery store and delivery truck, W.A. Dewland's clothing store, and E.L. Odlum's drug store. The delivery truck bears the inscription "A.T. Lawler, The Home of Good Groceries, Phone 47." Standing in front of the store from left to right are: Bill Tarvis, A.T. Lawler, and Mrs. George Sturgess.
Notes
A.T. Lawler's grocery store was the first store south of the Dominion Bank on the east side of Brock Street. The Lawler family operated the store in this location from 1878 to 1928. The delivery truck is from c.1925.
Inscriptions
Signs from left to right on buildings: "SALADA CEYLON TEA"; "W.A. DEWLAND". The delivery truck bears the inscription "A.T. Lawler, The Home of Good Groceries, Phone 47."
