Notes

Lola Jardine was born on 17 July 1935 and passed away in November 2012. Her parents were Samuel and Edith Jardine. Samuel Jardine was born in Banbridge, County Down, Ireland on 15 January 1896. He died in Whitby on 11 March 1971 and is buried in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin, Ontario. Edith Jardine was born in Banbridge, County Down, Ireland on 9 September 1906. She died 29 October 1964 in Whitby and is buried in Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin, Ontario.

Marjorie Georgina Ruddy (1908-1980) was a prominent Whitby photographer and the only commercial photographer in Whitby during the 1930s and 1940s. Marjorie was the official photographer for the Whitby Police Department starting in the 1930s and as a result took many photographs of car accidents, fingerprints and crime scenes. (Station Gallery.
