This is a black and white photographic postcard of stores on the east side of Brock Street south of Dundas Street (Highway 2). Signs on stores from left to right: "E.L. Odlum Drugs" "Toiletries" "Stationery"; "Hardware"; "Marlow's Funeral Service furniture Westinghouse refrigerators, radios". Two people are standing by the street light in the photograph. A flag can be seen in the distance. Vehicles can be seen on the street.

The street light at right was installed in 1939.
