- A black and white photograph of a line of motorcycles in front of the main entrance of the Royal Hotel. At left is the Brock Theatre.
- Notes
- Royal Hotel was located at 171 Brock Street North. The motorcycles in this photograph were owned by the Ontario Provincial Police. The OPP were escorting a group of hunger marchers through Whitby on their way to Ottawa. Brock Theatre was located in the building north of the Royal Hotel. The movie showing during the time this photo was taken is “People’s Enemy,” starring Preston Foster This film played at the Brock Theatre on July 19 and 20 1935. the theatre moved to t a new building north of the Hewis Block on Brock Street in April 1938.
