Henry Street School, 1854-1955

Henry Street School was constructed in 1854. It was located on the block bounded by Gilbert, King, Dunlop, and Henry Streets, the current location of R.A. Sennett Public School. Henry Street School was destroyed by fire in 1920. In 1954, Whitby District High School was built at 600 Henry Street; in 1960, it was renamed Henry Street High School. This group contains class photographs as well as images of Henry Street School itself.
