Description
A black and white negative of a portrait of Harold Augustus.
Notes
Harold McBride Augustus (1913-1980) was born at Whitby on 19 September 1913. He was a printer at McLean Hunter and later operated the Sportsman's Corner store in Whitby. Mr. Augustus was the first Legion member who was a veteran of World War II to serve as President of Branch 112, Whitby in 1950-51 and 1953. He died at Seagrave, Ontario, on 4 August 1980 and is buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
