It will now be held at the South Courtice Arena & Recreation Complex, 9:30 a.m - noon. (1595 Prestonvale Rd, Courtice) An additional meeting has been added on Monday, May 8, at the Brooklin Library at 6:30 p.m. (8 Vipond Rd, Whitby) Further seminars are being held to educate the community on fraud and scam awareness, human trafficking and the Neighbourhood Watch program. These are being sponsored by the DRPS Neighbourhood Watch program and local community partners. Neighbourhood Watch - A Caring Community - how to effectively partner with your neighbours and the police to create a safer commu- nity; Human Trafficking - Separating myth from fact, is it happening close to home, how to recognize the signs, and how to help someone who is at risk for being victimized; Fraud and Scam Awareness - Learn about the latest trends in frauds and scams, how to spot a phishing scheme and recognize if someone is being targeted, how to report these crimes, and what to do if you or a loved one becomes a victim.
