In that spirit, the Brooklin Horticultural Society is hosting a meeting with the topic 'Gardening on the Edge' on Wednesday, March 25 to discuss gardening with plants outside the garden's hardiness zone. The workshop is being led by guest speaker Frank Kershaw, and the meeting will also see the annual seed swap. Guests are welcome to attend and the meeting runs from 7-9 p.m. The event takes place at Brooklin United Church, 19 Cassels Rd., E. BROOKLIN -- Dylan Chapman spent some reading time with her dad, Tom, at the Brooklin Community Centre and Library. The Brooklin Agricultural Society recently presented the Town of Whitby with the final instalment of a pledge to donate $30,000 to the Brooklin Community Centre and Library.
