12 Friday, May 25, 2018 brooklintowncrier.com Every year we go to the fair. Things have changed over the years for us as our daughter's grown. Where the farm animals and monster trucks were once her favourites, now it's all about the midway rides, contests and how much junk food she and her friends can consume before getting sick. These days, I follow as she and her friends race from ride to ride, trailing strings of midway tickets. I watch as they carefully calculate the number of tickets it takes to ride and share tickets to ensure everyone has enough to get on. The rides are much more fun together. They always cap off the night with a ride on the ferris wheel when it's all lit up, then grab a bag of cotton candy for the walk home. While the midway is a big attraction, there is so much more for kids of all ages to do at the fair. Here are some highlights: The Parade: Saturday June 2nd, 2018 at 10:30 A.M.
