Friday, March 29, 2019 5Brooklin Town Crier Town Hall Meeting About Human Trafficking The Brooklin Legion will be the location of a Town Hall meeting on Saturday, April 13, 1 to 3 pm, to examine Human Trafficking. Members of the DRPS Human Trafficking Division will be on hand. This first ever event is being hosted by North Ward Councillor Steve Lee, Regional Councillor Elizabeth Roy and Deputy Mayor Rhonda Mulcahy along with Durham District School Board Trustee Niki Lundquist. Parents and teachers of youth are encouraged to attend as this informative afternoon could change the lives of those close to you. Come out and swap clothing from your closet for 5 new to you items! The event is free to attend, just bring in 5 items of clothing and you can swap them out with 5 new ones. There will also be vendors to shop from. March 30th Brooklin United Church at 19 Cassels Rd. E. Any items left over will be donated to The Denise House. Two sessions: 2-4 pm (light refreshments & child minding) 7-9pm (with Mocktails and appetizers).
